Request for Comment - Clarification of Third-Parties in the ACH Network

NACHA request comments on the proposed changes to the rules regarding the Clarification of Third-Parties in the ACH Network.  The proposed amendments would clairfy the definitions, roles, and responsibilities of Third-Parties to ACH transactions and strengthen rules compliance by these and other ACH participants.  This Request for Comment consists of three documents:

Executive Summary and description of the proposed Rules amendments

Proposed Modifications for the Rules

An ACH Participant Survey

Comment letters are welcome and can be sent to the attention of Maribel Bondoc at mbondoc@nacha.org.  Feedback on the Request for Comment is due by Friday, June 28, 2013.

May is Proclaimed as Direct Deposit and Direct Payment via ACH Month

On Wednesday May 1st, Congressman Gerry Connolly of Virginia submitted a proclamation into the Congressional Record designating May as Direct Deposit and Direct Payment via ACH Month.  To read NACHA's press release, click here.
