20 - What Makes a Check & How It Works
Session Time: 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm -- With over 17 billion processed annually, checks are not going away just yet and there is still a need to understand the fundamentals of check processing. Whether you are new to processing checks or need a refresher, this program will provide useful information related to daily check processing in your organization. This session includes a history and covers the required components of a check, check regulations and processing checks as images. This is a must session for tellers and staff new to check handling as it includes important tools for mitigating check fraud.

Eligible participants may earn 3 AAP/APRP/NCP continuing education credits.
