The Federal Reserve has long been involved as a leader and facilitator of payments and payment system improvements in the United States.  Checks, ACH and wire transfer payments all move through the Federal Reserve electronically.  This session will highlight the efforts of the Federal Reserve to continue to modernize payments.  This includes their leadership role in promoting safer and faster payments, global payments and adoption of international standards and the offering of services to ensure the safety and sound risk management practices surrounding payments.
